Trooper – Raise A Little Hell

1970s and 1980s Canadian hard rockers Trooper remain a popular live act in Canada. Their 1978 anthem Raise a Little Hell was used by Corky Evans, a British Columbia provincial politician, as a theme song in his failed bid to win the leadership of the BC New Democratic Party in 2000. He lost to Ujjal Dosanjh, who used Rise Up, by the Parachute Club.

Canadian comedian Rick Mercer also tried to encourage people to vote, by getting politicians to lip sync to the tune:
