Tina Turner – Better Be Good To Me

Tina Turner pushes a man away – he is not treating her nicely.

Voters do the same for politicians and political parties at the ballot box.

It’s commonly assumed that citizens today have very high expectations of their elected representatives. We ponder whether it’s even possible for governments to enjoy broad support as a result. When you consider that in most political communities, be that a country, state or town, there are multiple political, economic, social, religious, ethnic and so on… diversities and cleavages, politicians cannot make everyone happy.

Turner pulled this off in 1985, with this song and her other efforts winning four Grammy Awards…
