Ringo Star – It Don’t Come Easy

Ringo’s best known song, from 1971, made #4 in the USA. It could easily be used as a political campaign theme song, noting the challenges of rising through the political ranks in terms of paying dues. It asks people to think positively about the future with an aim to come together to make a better world. How? Well, the song speaks about trusting the narrator – the person making the pitch. It’s easy to trust Ringo. But a politician?
